Originally from Chicago, IL, Dr. Fidés Julian, DACM, DiplOM, LAc, is a board certified, licensed Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at the Center for Integrative Medicine at UCSD Health in San Diego and La Jolla, CA. Dr. Julian’s special interests are in Pain Management, Autoimmune Conditions and Family Medicine, where she uses a gentle acupuncture technique to help patients recover from injuries and chronic pain. She is the founder of Upper Body Acupuncture, a specialty acupuncture and traditional medicine clinic in San Diego, CA. Dr. Julian earned her doctorate from the Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego CA, where she had a focus in Chinese Medicine and Japanese style acupuncture, orthopedic and neurologic disorders, sports injuries and women’s health, with internships at the Military Veterans’ Free Acupuncture Clinic. She is a member of the American Society of Acupuncturists, the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and the California State Oriental Medical Association. A veteran of the U.S. Army and graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, IL, Dr. Julian is an herbalist and an artist. She lives with her husband and their rescue animals in San Diego, CA.
